Anodyne has created a new position of Business Development Manager to lead our efforts in growing our business, forging new client relationships, and expanding our reach within a highly competitive market.

As the Business Development Manager, you will spearhead sales initiatives, develop new business opportunities, and collaborate with our Management Team to ensure clients receive superior services.

Established in 1972, Anodyne is a multi-faceted organization whose services include Home Care, Health Care Staffing, Adult Foster Care, and Admin & Industrial Staffing. We have over 1,200 employees located in Massachusetts. The Business Development Manager will report directly to the President.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales Strategy and Business Development
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to grow the company’s services. Identify target markets, develop sales plans, and engage with key decision-makers to build new client relationships and expand existing accounts.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities by leveraging networking, cold calling, attending industry events, and online research. Generate and qualify leads, opening doors to new partnerships with businesses in need of staffing solutions.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their staffing needs and aligning services to meet those needs. Serve as a trusted advisor, ensuring that staffing solutions are tailored to each client’s specific requirements.
  • Lead contract negotiations with clients, ensuring that terms are favorable for both the client and the company. Work closely with the Management Teams to finalize agreements and contracts, ensuring smooth onboarding and delivery of services.
  • Partner with Human Resources and the Recruiting team to ensure client staffing needs are met efficiently and effectively. You’ll work closely with our Recruiters and Schedulers to align client requirements with the available talent, ensuring the right fit for every role.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, market conditions, and competitors to ensure that the company remains competitive within our industries. You’ll provide market insights to leadership, helping shape the company’s growth strategy.
  • Track and analyze sales performance metrics, such as lead conversion rates, client acquisition costs, and revenue growth. Provide regular reports to leadership, identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring that sales targets are met.

  • Business Development Expertise: Proven track record in business development, sales, and client relationship management. You’re skilled at identifying new business opportunities, generating leads, and closing deals.
  • Sales and Negotiation Skills: Exceptional sales skills, with the ability to negotiate contracts and close deals that drive business growth. You’re skilled at building relationships with decision-makers and presenting tailored staffing solutions that meet their needs.
  • Client Relationship Management: Proven ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring client satisfaction. You’re proactive in identifying client needs and providing solutions that add value.
  • Strategic Thinking and Market Insights: Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to assess market trends and competitive dynamics. You know how to position staffing services to stand out in a crowded marketplace.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with internal teams and clients to ensure seamless service delivery. You’re a natural collaborator who can align business development efforts with recruiting capabilities.
  • Health Care or Home Care Staffing Industry Knowledge Preferred: Understanding of the staffing and recruitment landscape, including sourcing, recruitment processes, and industry trends. You’re comfortable discussing client needs and aligning staffing solutions with their business goals.
Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Equivalent experience with a proven track record in business development within the staffing industry preferred.
  • Certifications in sales, business development, or staffing (e.g., Certified Staffing Professional) are a plus.
Other Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in business development or sales, with a focus on the staffing or recruitment industry. You’ve successfully generated new business, grown key accounts, and built long-term client relationships.
  • Proven success in managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to contract negotiation and deal closure.
  • Experience working in fast-paced industries, staffing agencies, recruitment firms, or HR consulting companies is highly desirable.
  • Ability to commute to Quincy, MA Anodyne office (work location)
  • Ability to travel to client locations throughout Massachusetts
