Hiring NOW! CNC Milling and Lathe Operators

Precision machine shop is located in Middleboro, Massachusetts where our team of skilled technicians and engineers work together to provide custom manufacturing solutions. We are able to provide everything in-house, from early design services to precision machining and assembly.

1st shift Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm $25-$30

$600 Sign- On Bonus!

Basic Function:

To set up and operate machine tools to process machine metal work pieces according to project specifications, tooling instructions and standard charts.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate machine tools to include lathes, milling machines, grinders in accordance with training and safety procedures.
  • Read blueprints or job orders to obtain product specifications (dimensions and tolerances) and tooling instructions (fixtures, feed rates, cutting speeds, depth of cut and cutting tools).
  • Apply knowledge of machining methods.
  • Position and secure work pieces to holding devices, machine tables, chucks, centers or fixtures using clamps and wrenches.
  • Set specified feeds, speeds and depth of cut in accordance with product specifications and tooling instructions.
  • Observe operation and verify conformance of machined work pieces to specifications using measuring instruments such as fixed gauges, calipers, comparators and micrometers.
  • Process production jobs as required.
  • Consult management to analyze product information to include product design capacity, purpose, and type of materials to be used in fabrication or to analyze written specifications, drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions to plan layouts and determine sequences of operations.
  • Complete production paperwork and inspection procedures as directed.
  • Maintain production logs as required.
  • Report any discrepancies to management.
  • Maintain tools, gauges and equipment in a clean, safe and orderly manner.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.
  • Communicate effectively and participate as a team player.
  • Ability to stand for 8 hours and ability to lift 50-75 pounds.
