Part-time Data Entry/Inventory/Customer Service Representative

Conveniently located in the Seaport Area (South Boston) accessible by bus and train.

We are Hiring for a fourth-generation family owned and operated company serving the seafood industry and we’re proud to be a leading third-party handler of fresh and frozen seafood.

The data entry position is part-time (24-30 hours) Monday, Wednesday, Friday (11:00am-end of day 6:00pm-9:00pm)

Position is evolving and hours may change.

The position will be responsible for completing the following daily procedures using the internal warehouse processing systems:
  • Entering BOL info from the window for cross dock orders.
  • This includes identifying the Shipper, Consignee, and Carrier for the order.
  • Identifying the product and entering the case quantities and weights.
  • Scanning the incoming documents and linking it to the order created.
  • Printing, matching, and stapling the incoming documents to the BOL.
  • Filing the matched paperwork in the correct location.
  • Identifying BOL’s that are for inventory.
  • Mark orders as Arrived.
  • Uploading web orders from the Queue.
  • Printing pick tickets and placing them in their correct locations.
  • Not printing orders when Lot is Not Arrived.
  • Updating inventory order weights from pick tickets completed, signed, and timestamped by a warehouse employee.
  • This includes scanning the completed pick ticket to the Inventory Order.
  • Identifying potential mistakes.
  • Examples include the pick ticket shows 10 pound boxes, but the weight doesn’t match.
  • Blank sections of paperwork that could identify incomplete picks.
  • Notes that describe requests such as Icing needed or specific box IDs or weights.
  • Entering the billing for extra request like re-pack or re-ice.
  • Signing out Drivers.
  • Print Carrier lists when needed.
  • This list describes what the driver should be loading onto their trucks, and what they will then sign for.
  • Handing the paperwork to the drivers.
  • Make sure all paperwork is accounted for before driver leaves.
  • Answering phone calls.
  • Trying to answer any, and all questions.
  • Transferring calls to appropriate extension.
