Hiring Now! Canton MA We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team, at an industry leading distributor of sailcloth, marine cover, awning and industrial fabrics, associated accessories and top hardware brands.
Full Time Monday Thru Friday 8:30AM-5:00PM $18 P/H
As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and products to various locations, in a company van.
This is a vital role in our organization as you will be the face of our company to our customers. If you enjoy driving and have excellent customer service skills, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated locations
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries
- Load and unload products from the vehicle
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on time
- Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor
- Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role
- Ability to operate various types of delivery vehicles, such as vans
- Strong knowledge of local roads and routes
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Physical stamina to handle heavy lifting and loading/unloading of products
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
