Nurse Practitioner Westfield, MA
Position shall work Monday - Friday
Must work at least 1 Weekend Day per Month
Must work on call 1 Weekend per MonthÂ
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality patient care within our client’s healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with physicians and clinical staff to assess, diagnose, and treat patients while promoting overall wellness and preventive care.
Responsibilities of the Nurse Practitioner:
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary staff to ensure high-quality patient care
Perform comprehensive patient history and physical examinations
Order, interpret, and manage medications, treatments, and diagnostic tests in accordance with established protocols
Document patient assessments, progress notes, and interventions in the medical record/CPOE system
Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized patient care plans
Serve as a team leader during patient care meetings
Review patient charts and evaluate nursing care to ensure treatment plans are properly executed
Participate in staff meetings, hospital committees, and quality improvement initiatives
Assist with data collection, performance improvement activities, and care evaluation processes
Respond to medical emergencies involving patients, staff, and visitors
Provide medical support to Employee Health services as needed (e.g., exposure incidents, acute reactions, transfers)
Provide on-call coverage and return to the hospital when required
Perform related duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
Applicants must have at leastÂ
Three years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience as a registered nurse in a recognized hospital, clinic, or medical facility

Any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.
Substitutions:
A Graduate degree with a major in Nursing may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience.*
*Education toward such a degree will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.
LICENSE AND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Current and valid registration as a professional nurse under the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
Current and valid authorization to practice as a Nurse Practitioner by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
